Bharat Rangachary was a film director associated with Bollywood. He was active in the eras of 1980s and 1990s, and met with a premature death in 1995.
Before starting his career as an independent director of Bollywood, he worked as an assistant director under the highly acclaimed Bollywood director Hrishikesh Mukherjee since mid-1970s. Zameen Aasmaan, Baat Ban Jaye, Waqt Hamara Hai and Takkar are some of his successful films as a film director.
He died 10 days before the release of his last Bollywood flick – Takkar (1995) starring Sunil Shetty, Sonali Bandre and Naseeruddin Shah in lead roles.
