She LOVES Abe Lincoln.

He is and has always been one of her heroes, even when she was little. My granddaughter is very liberal minded, and she believes that all people -- black, white, gay, those transgendered folks, Mexicans, and all the rest -- should have equal rights.

I was raised in a different generation, so I wasn't raised that way, but over the years, she has kind of brought me around to her way of thinking.
