DJ Suss One, is an American DJ, producer, radio and television personality. Born Steven Sussman in Brooklyn, he began developing a passion for music at a young age that has translated into a career that has seen him DJ for successful radio stations, television shows and top clubs.^[1][2]

Early Life

DJ Suss One was born in Brooklyn, New York to his parents Raymond and Peggy Sussman.^[1] He was born mixed to a white, Jewish father and an African-American, Christian mother.

The family eventually relocated to the county of Westchester, New York when Sussman was in second grade. This would also be around the same time when the burgeoning DJ first discovered his passion for music; he gives credit to his uncle who began supplying him with mix-tapes from an assortment of DJs around the age of Suss now highlights individuals such as Ron G, Kid Capri, Red Alert, DJ Clue, and Funk Flex being his biggest influences.
